I love when I hear people saying that they should pitch around Vlad. Fact is that you can't really.

Yeah well he has not beem hitting all that well lately. He has no protection in that lineup with Anderson being in and out of the lineup every other day and not playing all that great either.

They now have Anderson hitting in front of Vlad. I believe they have Molina after Vlad. He is no slouch. He can hit . But if Finley had come through this year we wouldn't have this post. Vlad tore it up last Sept. I expect more of the same.

At least he was doing most of his swinging with two strikes., He just went overboard on protecting the plate.

Yeah, but this is the Vladimir Guerrero that was crushing the ball on those horrible Expo teams. Vladdy will be just fine

You can bat me behind Guerrero, unless they intentionally walk him Barry Bonds like, he's going to produce. I read somewhere that he's so good with a bat and baseball he can dribble the ball off a brick wall with the bat.

He's a sure thing.

He really is something, i've seen him hit ankle high sinkers 350 feet to right center. It's crazy how strong and talented he is.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

Didn't he hit a ball that came and bounced off the ground across plate for a homer i nthe minor leagues?
Yes he sure did, Red Stripe!! Wish there was a video of it somewhere, anywhere! He should play cricket!!!

I believe he smacked it for a double.
A few days ago, I read an article about him in USA Today. He said that he used to play "La Placa" (the plate) when he was a kid where a license plate vertically or something similar to a rectangle was placed behind the batter. If the ball hit the plate then the AB was over. Conversely, AB continued as long as the plate was untouched.
Vladdy rocks.
