Sep 1 Braves shortstop Rafael Furcal missed both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Nationals with pain in his right knee. An MRI he had on Wednesday showed that there was some cartilage damage, but it's didn't appear significant enough to put him on the 15-day disabled list, MLB.com reports. "It's a knee that's had its wear and tear over a long career and a long season," Braves general manager John Schuerholz said. "He's probably going to have some aggravation on and off throughout the season. It's a thing that will require his seeing how it feels every day. We expect he'll be able to play most of the time. But there will be some times when it will be too bothersome and he won't [play]."
This comes at a bad time for my team, playoffs are next week, and i am fighting for a spot this week. Thinking of dumping him, i cant afford to have a guy who wont go everyday on my team!
