this is my team in a 18 team league, i am in 1st place. its a basic 5x5 roto. I just got Lowry off of the wire and I just traded for Peralta, Feliz was just not getting it done. Im first in ERA, but my WHIP could use some help, i think im going to bench Batista the rest of the season to help out with that. im also way ahead in saves. I really need to raise my batting average and im hoping to do that before its all over. i think im in a good spot, thoughts?

Life is like riding an elevator. It has a lot of ups and downs and someone is always pushing your buttons.
i definetly like your offense, but your pitching seems to be where the questions are....some of the players have been shaky before this past month...blanton, lowry specifically...and with the injury to duke and not knowing when he will come back and if he will be used every 5th day when he comes back kinda makes me a little uneasy....as long as the players who have been hot stay hot your team should definetly do well...but i would try to get 1 ace pitcher to solidy your roster
My trade deadline was last week, so getting an ace isnt possible. I had Halladay, but dropped him cause his injury, im pretty good in my pitching stats, and am going to just pick up wavier guys and spot start favorable match ups the rest of the year. hopefully harden comes back soon.
as for Sweeney for Howard, i think i will do that, since the royals arent in the chace for the playoffs they might sit him to get a look at their rooks.
thanks guys

an 18 team league. In that league your team ios damn impressive. If you mean 8 team league then I think your hitting is fine, but you need to improve your pitching. What I think you should do is spot start if there is no transacions limit.
I think you should definitely pick up Howard. He has been hitting the ball hard lately and could give your offense a boost (not that you really need it). I would even look at starting him over Johnson at 1st. As for pitching if Duke and Lowry both stay hot you should be fine.
team looks a little different now, ive added Cain and Bonds is off the DL. i dropped . Batista b/c there is now way anyone will come close to my saves totals.

I'd also think about picking up Gomes. He's been very good for the last 2 months. Probably for Johnson - Gomes will provide an equivalent BA and more hrs + odd SB.
Don't think any of the pitchers will improve your roster.
