Sheets? Help!

It sounds like Sheets is done for the season. An MRI revealed a tear of the latissimus dorsi, a muscle in the upper back that moves the shoulder. Brewers team physician Dr. William Raasch said the injury typically requires four weeks to two months to heal. ''There's a lot of swelling,'' Raasch said. ''We can't tell you how quickly he'll heal. Best-case scenario is 15 days, if he's feeling great. Worst case, two months.'' Either Victor Santos, Ben Hendrickson or Wes Obermueller could replace him in the rotation.

I need to know if I should ditch him now. I'd hate for an opponent to pick him up for the last three weeks of the season. Anyone?

Drop him.

The Brewers are not contenders this season... Even if Sheets feels better in 2 or 3 weeks... they have no reason in the world to put him back on the mount for 1 or 2 starts in the last weeks of a season with no meaning. If they were in a pennant race, it would be different... but it's not the case now.

I dropped him to pick up K. Escobar and this one is sitting on my DL until he comes back.

I dropped him as soon as I heard.
I agree that the Brewers won't risk bringing him back.

I dumped him too and picked up Sabathia to use against the Royals.
