Memorable Fantasy Draft Trash Talk?

Postby The Jury » Mon Aug 29, 2005 11:02 am

To open this 2005 season, we had an online draft, during which the following appeared in the draft chat window in the 9th round of our 8-teamer:

Z-Unit: "You guys take way too long to make your picks. Do your homework BEFORE the draft."

Z-Unit selects Johnny Estrada.

It's Z-Unit's rookie season in our private league, and he comes in bashing the veterans for thinking a little too much. We've been bringing the above up from time to time throughout the season - he ain't never living this one down :-D All in good fun.

PS. He has since dropped Johnny Estrada and replaced him with Michael Barret.

In a FB draft, one guy took Bret Favre and Drew Bledsoe in his 1st 2 picks 2 years ago... he still get heckled about it.

A buddy of mine picked Ray Durham this year in the mid rounds... he gets heckled for that too.

AA spent $27 on RJ this year. :-D

At the beginning of the 2nd round in my fantasy football draft last year someone took Curtis Martin and never lived it down. Until Curtis Martin went on to win the rushing title... Oops.

This year the biggest trash talk was for the 11th player selected overall in baseball by this clown who took...

JD Drew.

11th overall?? JD Drew?!? And OBP isn't a category...What a moron.

He made his bed, and now he's sleeping in it.

After I picked Griffey in the late rounds this year, someone piped up with "Oh, Griffey is off the table. Were Belle and Juan Gone already taken?"

In the next few weeks I plan to drop Griffey (I've got a huge lead) and pick up Juan Gone. Just to rub it in his 6th place ass.

A few days ago one of my FFL owners accidentally drafted Donnie Abraham instead of John, and had to waste one of our limited roster moves dropping the retiree :-b He'll never hear the end of it.
