bill mueller: quietly performing well right now

Postby pappymojo » Sun Aug 28, 2005 6:27 pm

if you have a need at second or third base, check out bill mueller's numbers recently. some things to consider: Mark Bellhorn (who was batting behind him and stinking up the joint with his hitting) has been replaced. plus, the yankees are only a game and a half behind the sox right now. plus, the a's and the indians are playing well. if the sox lost the lead to the yankees (shudder), they would be in a fight for the wild card spot. so the sox really have a lot of incentive to win some games right now. a ton of the rest of the games this year will be played at fenway, so they'll have home field advantage.

oh yeah, and bill mueller won the batting title a couple of years ago.

just something to consider....
