Another rehab start for Escobar for the AAA affiliate of the Angels. So far, 3 IP - 2 H - 1 ER - 4 BB - 4 K's. Not bad but those walks are starting to add up...4 in his last rehab start in about only 2 innings now 4 in this one.

Pretty good start, he just has to work on his control. ;-D

The latest news is Escobar returning to the team on Tuesday.

Whether he becomes a starter, or stays in the bullpen isn't known yet.

It appears from his rehab starts that they have been prepping him to return to starting, though. I'm just not sure who's rotation spot he will take over, if any at all.

Well, both Byrd and Santana pitched very well this week so it's gonna be hard to take one of them out. I think they'll start him out in the bullpen and maybe when one of the starters stumbles he'll replace them.

So Escobar came on in relief tonight. You guys think he'll keep pitching relief for the rest of the year, or will the Angels move him into the rotation at some point (hopefully within the next week or so)?

Probably bullpen from here on out...unless Bartolo is still bothered by that lower back pain. If so, Kelvim will get the nod.
