This thing is looking pretty bad right now. Most of the computer models are showing a hit near New Orleans. The city itself is under sea level. A direct hit and well the city would be under water. I heard that they may issue mandatory evacuations tom.
Just look at this thing
Right now its a Category 3 with winds of 115, but it will likely strenthen to a Cat 4. And the possibility of a Cat 5 storm is not out of the question
Yup. I live in Mobile, and am working in Gulfport, so we'll be catching a nice butt whuppin from Ms. Katrina. Search Hurricane Camille for an example of history (hopefully NOT) repeating itself. Cat 5, 200mph winds (think....TWICE as fast as The Unit can throw), over 200 dead.
This thing is going to SUCK. Hard.
I've lived through a bunch and will stay and ride this one out. My wifes family is staying with us and they have nowhere to run to.
Keep your fingers crossed for us!
And, important things first, can someone tend to my team when the power goes out?

Good luck.
I'm hoping it brings lots of rain to NY so I can get some days off soccer practice.

What's the latest update on when it will actually hit?
Good luck to all that are in her path. Stay safe.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
