It happens. You made an honest mistake by not knowing that threads like that usually start riots. I've noticed from your other post that you are knowledgeable and coherent. If you are willing to compromise a bit and not go overboard on this, you would be a welcome addition to the cafe which is truly a great place. Don't give up on it so soon. Relax and get comfy, welcome to the cafe!
By the way Mookie's a great person around here, and he was just looking out for the bettering of the cafe.

As to your question, I saw the thread and it's really only there to start an argument. Every thread we've had with bashing Dusty Baker has resulted in name calling and childish bickering. The way your post was written, it was only going to lead to more of the same. If you really want to discuss Dusty and pitch counts, feel free to start a new thread that's not going to be taken as inflammatory. More civil and discussion oriented, instead of a bash fest.

Usually when someone complains and says something along the lines of "Bye Bye Cafe " the thread gets deleted. Am I wrong?

From my time here at the cafe, I can clearly say that that isn't the case.
And I can tell you that you are completely and totally wrong.
When threads of this nature come up, I always discuss the situation with the poster. That is a fact, it's something that hundreds of our members have seen me do, and it's something you have no clue about. Quit embarrassing yourself by arguing something you do not know anything about.
