Any thoughts on Jones being the FL closer next year?
Since the all-star break, Jones has 17 saves, a 0.45 ERA and K/9 rate over 8.
Does he have a shot at keeping the job?

On Baseball Tonight last night, Jeff Brantley said that Jones has re-invented himself by coming up with a cutter, which makes his 4 seam fastball more effective. As good as he has been this year (NO runs allowed in last 16 appearances), why would the Fish not consider him for next year. He must be coming at a pretty low price.

I believe that FL will resign him and he will start the season, but will end up being ineffective once people learn his cutter. They will then try out Mota again or have to look elsewhere for an option. I agree with dm, if you have a chance to deal him in a keeper I'd do it.
