Start Clement at Cinci?

Postby SFGIANTS » Mon Jun 16, 2003 4:07 pm

Clement has been doing better as of late, should I start him?
Go Giants, that means you too Barry. Think you can run over to catch the ball for us? Jeez, thanks.

if you want an ERA around 9 and a WHIP of 1.66 with a ND; start him.
Down with dope and up with hope.

Not too shabby. Quality start, possibility of a win as of this moment.

Well, I started him and he's done great! 6IPs, 3ERs, 1BB, 9Ks.
...Not bad! He's starting to turn it up! :-B

Great may be a bit much, however, I was happy to get the win and the high k/9. I wish he would lower his whip and era, but I can't compain too much - he is turning it up. Three wins in a row.

After I saw that Clement was pitching in Cincinatti, I was fully intent on letting him ride the bench. It was only after I saw that my other pitcher Adam Eaton was pitching in Colorado. I am in a H2H league and I couldn't afford to sit both, so I went with Clement. I am very satisfied with the results, and yes, it makes it three in a row for Clement. Of course hindsight is 20/20, but now I wish I started both pitchers, but of the two, I made the right choice.

Dare I ask whether to start Zambrano today?

As much as I hate to do it, I've got Zambrano on my bench right now. Unless someone convinces me otherwise, I'm leaving him there. Balls are just flying out of Cin. and I can't afford to get shelled.
