Is Miguel Cabrera going to be called up to play 3B for the Marlins once Lowell is traded? Anyone with an insight to this, it would be greatly appreciated!

And it's probably only a matter of time until he's traded. Fortunately for me, I have both of them.

Whoa!!! Hold on a moment here. Cabrera is almost definitely not going to be brought up this soon. The Marlins would wait till whatever date it is in August that would insure they get to keep another full season till he gets arbitration rights. That cheap outfit is all about the Benjamins, so you can take this to the bank, I would think.

thehat is right the marlins will hold off on cabrera till late august. The only conceivable reason they would call cabrera up earlier is because of the pr problem when they trade lowell, the marlins always pretend they care about pr, pretend being the operative word. But I doubt we'll see him before late august
