Unless they're getting him for nothing, that move doesn't really make much sense to me.

Like JT said, you're replacing one aging OF past his prime with another, but I guess with Walt's track record, who am I to question the move.

He would be a good fit for the No 2 spot since LaRussa likes to have some pop in the two hole and he definitely gets on base. It's a good fit in some ways baseball wise, but I'm not so sure about from a contractual/money standpoint. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
