What do you guys think? The kid's hot, but so are the Mets lately.

Start him. I doubt Burnitz or Floyd will have much sucess against him and the Mets right handed hitters are slap hitters. If he gives up more than 3 runs I'll be surprised.

If you don't feel confident in starting Willis against a weak team like the Mets, you may as well drop him off your roster because you won't get a better matchup.

That said, I can understand your hesitation because rookie pitchers like Willis and Foppert are at a constant risk of getting lit up with no warning. However well they have been playing, I don't think Willis and Foppert are worth the risk of having unless you're in a keeper league.

1 hitter through 8, i love it.

Also, Glavine is pitching a 4 hitter in a losing effort. Overall, a great pitchers duel. Good to see Glavine pulling himself together, albeit against the weak marlins

FWIW:

I find it scary his WHIP for the game was lower than Millwood's when he had his no-hitter this year.

Scarier: He has less than 10 major league starts.

Got em' in all my leagues, I love you DW.

I haven't seen him pitch yet, but I hear he hides the ball well. Think batters will catch on to him, the more looks they get?

I feel like a damn fantasy God. My ERA is shrinking quicker than George Costanza Jr in a chilly pool.

Unfortunately, all Dontrelle's ERA did for me tonight was counterbalance Lohse's crappy start. Ughhh!

Well, I did still get a win and lot of K's ;-D
