Good quote from Berkman.

I'm gonna stick up for Kent here though b/c no one else will... from ESPN's article on the divided Dodger clubhouse.

"He is a particularly gifted clock puncher...In fact, his history, both in San Francisco and now in Los Angeles, is of a guy who does his job and doesn't bandy much with the other help."

Not quite as I have been one of the few Kent supporters for awhile and am amazed at the pure hate he gets around here. If you remember, this place was full of Kent bashers proclaiming his demise in LA in MArch. They have all gone quiet. They must be hiding out with the Vaz and Brown proponents we saw early in the year...LOL.


Seriously, Berkman's quote is a classic, but it is a take-off on a quote from one of the early Dirty Harry films. Something alpng the lines of "That's our Harry, he does not discriminate...He hates everyone." I am sure some Clint Eastwood fan can come up with the exact quotation.

That's very close to what Steve Phillips said on the Mike and Mike Show this morning on ESPN radio. He said that Kent has been an equal opportunity hater throughout his career. And maybe that's what motivates him.

The guy is an all round jerk.

He doesn't like anyone and in the clubhouse he sits off by himself with his headphones on and leaves as soon as he can.

Am I ever glad that the Jays got rid of that cancer during his first year in the bigs. Yeah, we sent him to the Mets for David Cone - yeah, we got 17 starts out of Cone Keep up the good work boys maybe we can also trade Michael Young for Loaiza and Izturis for a bag of balls.

Yeah the man hits, plays well but get rid of him because stays to himself in the clubhouse and is not Mr. outgoing/personality. To each his own. He can play on my team anyday if the worst that occurs is the likes of total a**holes like Bonds and Bradley can not get along with him.
