Lance Berkman with possible 'Quote of the Year' (re: Kent)

Postby Pacman » Thu Aug 25, 2005 9:42 am

Lance Berkman's take on the Milton Bradley-Jeff Kent racial feud provided what is possibly the baseball quote of the year.

''I think (for Bradley) to make it a race issue is ridiculous,'' Berkman said. ''J.K. doesn't discriminate against anybody. He ignores Latinos, blacks and whites equally.'' Aug. 25 - 9:19 am et

Good quote from Berkman.

I'm gonna stick up for Kent here though b/c no one else will... from ESPN's article on the divided Dodger clubhouse.

"He is a particularly gifted clock puncher...In fact, his history, both in San Francisco and now in Los Angeles, is of a guy who does his job and doesn't bandy much with the other help."

Man, Berkman's a riot. Remember after he got hurt with that knee injury, he faked re-injuring it in either spring training or a game (I can't remember), to trick his team? :-D
