For an eight-team league, I'd say you definitely have some holes to plug, both in your hitting and pitching. You need better players than the ice cold Giambi and Gonzo you're starting. Lugo is iffy as well. There have to be better free agent options in such a shallow league than the three hitters you have on your bench. You'll have to pray some of your less durable hitters can keep it together for the remainder of the season.

Your pitching lacks a dominant starter, and I'm not sure that any of your pitchers would do for even a second starter in an eight-team league. Just going by what I see and without knowing the specific pitching standings, I would not be spot starting. This isn't H2H, where you start each week fresh. The risk of a poor start outweighs the potential advantage you might gain, IMO.

well, i just traded pedro and petittitte to acquire AROD, which is going to help me in the standings alot. for pitching, i dont' understand, you say NOT to spot start, but that a bad start can hurt. isn't that why you should micromanage and start only in certain circumstances (anyone vs. astros or royals).
