Don't just blame him. I would have given you the same advice. Edmonds is at the top of my list of "Players Who Are Too Streaky To Own In A H2H League."
You need consistency and predictability in H2H, no more so than in the playoffs. Sure, he'll win you a few weeks here and there, but Jimmy will lose you more than that - particularly if you count off for Ks.
I have him too, and kept him from last year. I think the problem is two-fold:
1) Last year was arguably the best year he's ever had and one he was unlikely to repeat.
2) Changes to the Cardinals offense; Renteria, Rolen, Walker, Sanders have all been out with injury or traded (Renteria) for a large part of the year. Fewer RBI opps, run scoring chances, easier to pitch around, etc.

Seriously, you need to get your ass in gear too Aubrey. You're friggin killing me too right now. Soon as Cabrera gets eligibility at 3B you're going out back like Old Yeller.
Farnsworth got the save today and I snagged him for Edmonds about an hour before the game started
Thanks for the help guys. I think I accidentally thanked Pogo for his help SotD. I get my STL homers confused all the time.
Sluggers, SotD, well done gentlemen. I was pretty iffy about that move but I'm beaming right now.

Just thought I'd bump this so everyone will know that I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. Just watched Edmonds go back to back with Pujols against the Cubbies, making his line for the last 4 games:

Don't worry about it, I have Farnsworth now and he's more valuable to me in h2h playoffs being as I'll have 5 closers going for me, essentially locking up Saves with KRod, Turnbow Time, Valverde, Rodney, and Farnsworth. I do wish I hadn't traded Randy Johnson for Vernon friggin Wells and kept Edmonds but that's neither the here nor there.
