haha, what are the thought of White Sox fans right now? Being a Vikings fan I know about late season struggles too. It must be frustrating. It'll pick up though, you guys have a solid team.
If I were a White Sox fan I'd def. be happy that Pods is comin back Monday.[/quote Pods isn't going to knock in any extra runs...
No, and that's true, but he is the spark-plug for that team.

White Sox since August 13 with Pods out: 2-7
In the 10 games before Pods went out they were 5-5. Thanks of course to the spark plug Pods who in the 5 wins went 3 for 19 with 1 walk, 2 CS, and 2 runs scored.
The Sox have struggled since he left for the same reason they won while he was in the lineup, their pitching. It completely fell apart during the losing streak.

pods was hurt before he went to the DL. i believe he was caught stealing 13 of his last 19 stb attempts. and our pitching is the very last thing we have to worry about.
Nope, its just the simple truth. If the Twins were in the NL east, NL central or AL East they would be a 4th place team or worse. The white sox have been good this year(because of their pitching, not because of the below average output of pods) and the rest of the division has been weak and in general has had weak schedules.

I don't understand why they keep trotting Joe Mays out there. He's Milton's righty twin. With Baker and Liriano chomping at the bit, why keep Mays in the rotation and forfeit the game during this important time?
Minnie does a terrible job of handling their prospects IMO.
Give me an example of how the Twins don't use their prospects right? Please don't say the handling of Johan as that OBVIOULSY worked out just fine as he's developed decenlty.... ha
Giving up on Bartlett after six weeks infavor of waiver fodder like Jaun Castro, and sending him back down so the could hit .330 in Triple-A.

ha, he's been hurt most of the year. He was overrated due to his cocky attitude. Probably will be something eventually, but near the pitcher we thought we had a couple years back.
Durbin was well thought of because of his velocity, but he has failed to develop a plus second pitch and doesn't change speeds. He'll wind up in someone's bullpen eventually.
