Was there any player who's batting stance was more imitated like 12 years ago when you were a little leaguer? What a beast he is. I hope he plays till he's 50.
Yeah well, Rickey says Rickey will play longer than Julio, Rickey is better than Julio, and Rickey is the best. Rickey will be 47 later this year, and Rickey knows that Rickey really is the man.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

He should be a hall of famer Hes a career .300 hitter , 2,513 hits, would have over 3,000 hits if he spent all his years in the majors and not in other various leagues and he holds a ton of records as the oldest major leaguer to do whatever.
Other than love for the game, I bet he just doesn't have enough money that he thinks he can retire and live off of. He's made $23 Million in his career, but has likely spent half of it. He just needs a little more

I disagree. In that case, then you get into a Mattingly discussion about "what ifs". To be in the HOF, there shouldn't be any, IMHO.

Most definitely. I heard the other night during the Braves game that as soon as he retires, he wants to go back to single-A as a manager and work his way up to the majors again. Seems like a helluva guy and someone who really loves the game.
