This guy has stunk it up this year, then headed to the DL for 6 weeks. In his first start back tonight, he gave up 2 runs in 6 innings, struck out one but walked none.
What do you think of this guy as far as 2003 fantasy value goes? Long term, I think he's a guy to keep an eye on. But what do you think of him for the remaining part of 2003?

He probably won't be as good as he was last year, but I think he'll still be a servicable starter if he is beyond the injury. I'd watch him for a couple more starts before putting him back in the lineup, because it was only a weak Brewers offense that he faced. If he does well against the Braves this week, that will be a better indication.

Including winter league, the guy pitched 341 innings last year. I think that pretty much removes him from any promising young pitchers list.
