Online shopping for poker chips

Okay, so after agonizing all weekend I went with:

then later saw this and kinda regretted my decision:

I really like that tri-color action and that's by far the cheapest tri-color I've seen. Over $20 cheaper than the one I bought - assuming there's no bidding action.

As to quality, all will be the same since they are all clay composits. It just depends on which ones have the best "look" to you, so I wouldn't regret your decision at all.

The guys in the second one are crazy. You can buy those sets for $60 in stores down here. They are not worth $375 by any stretch of the imagination.

ebay hooked me up with a 500 regulation chip set in a sweet metal case set for $30 plus a few bucks shipping. Just keep looking. You'll find 'em.

Yeah, those 11.5ers with dice are super common. Almost every site has em and they are on Ebay ending like every minute. What I do like about the ones I found are that they are a lil heavier at 13.5 g and depict a poker hand. I don't play dice games.

Looks like right now you can get your average 500 ct of 11.5g chips in a case for just over $30 incl shipping.

Wonder if it will keep going lower with a glut on the market.

To each his own but I never saw the need to get 11.5 or 13.5 g chips. To be honest, I actually like the texture on a set of 7.5's that I have but my 9's are just fine. My buddy has 13.5's and they seemed a bit clanky to me.
