I was kicking myself for trading him for Vernon Wells before his start @ TB last week. Now...not so much.

I got sick of RJ and traded him with Helton, Batista, and Bedard for Patterson, Sabbathia and Beckett.
I believe this is the year that sets RJ into a decline... too old, too fragile, and too hittable, and when he does give up hits, they tend to be homers, killing my ERA. The stretch run consists of the foes from AL East in September, my main reason for trading him... even the Devil Rays have a good offense now so it doesn't look good. I suggest getting rid of him before the trading deadline.

Seems to have been fine for Clemens and Cone and Key and Wells and others...
...Just in recent "Cashman and Stottlemeyer inane " years that the comedy show has been in full force.
In fairness, outsiide of RJ, all the other clowns could have been predicted. Vaz was way overrated in hindsight (which is 20-20 of course). Weaver was never really all that great. Brown was old and injury prone. Pavano was injury prone. And the bullpen clowns are and were just that, clowns for the most part.
