7. What is the verb/verb phrase in the following sentence?

Thanks. It's a take-home test for my English class and I've never been great w/grammar.

Heck, as long as I'm asking, I've added a few more questions. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Ditto. I consider myself an above average writer when I apply myself, but I'm apparently not so good with grammar. Thank goodness I already have my degree. ;-D

Thanks. It's for a 9th grade English class and we're doing an intensive course on grammar. If anyone else can give me one or more answers/correct JTWood, please let me know. I'm trying to learn this, but am lost on a few of these.

3. "And" is the only conjunction I see
4. Adverb
5. Are
6. "Very" + "much" = adv. modifying "obvious"
7. "Have been"

Is this not cheating, by the way?
