Granted, he's not the world's greatest SS. But he's put up pretty decent numbers this year, too. Anyway, I just heard he waived, but didn't get any explanation. Thanks.

Uh, this is pretty big. I've got this guy as either 2B or SS in quite a few leagues. What the hell.

They didn't waive Lugo they just placed him on waivers and he got claimed so they pulled him back.

Tampa Bay then pulled Lugo back off waivers. The Yankees are believed to have been simply blocking other teams from getting Lugo.

Did they actually waive him? Or did they just put him through waivers? I can't imagine for a second that they just outright waived him... :-?

He didn't get waived, he was placed on waivers. They're 2 completely differnet things.

If the Yanks claimed him and he got pulled back, there will be no waiver trade. Sit tight, sports fans, Lugo will remain a Devil Ray. Nothing to get riled up about.
