The original scare with IE is it simply less secure, and being the most popular, that is not a good combination.

HOly crap.....I just downloaded Firefox and uninstalled IE.....FireFox is a whole lot faster than IE....I should've switched earlier... :-]

My smileys work fine MOokie so I can't help you..

Exactly. It also means that once the polularity shifts, so may the security problems (so nothing against M$ in general) - but for the time being, Firefox may cause fewer headaches.

Umm, bad decision dude. Some sites dont work in Firefox, and IE was made like part of the the Windows OS (which is why it starts up so fast compared to FF), and uninstalling it can destabilize your OS...
