im sure this may have been discussed before but...
what do you think of marcus giles? i kinda see his career maybe going in the direction of bret boone. he has supposedly always had the bat but never the PT or glove. it seems that has been overcome and he is turning in a fine season. best of all he is just 25 and his best seasons should be yet to come. how would you rank him among 2b for a keeper league? soriano would most definitely be #1. i would consider Giles as possibly a top-5 pick at 2b. anybody else got an opinion on this? i am trying to load up my keeper roster with the best infield that i can get and im pretty set on every position except 2b. i already tried to trade for soriano but his asking price was way too high for me. i think Giles would be pretty affordable right now and if his career is just taking off, it would be nice to get him now while hes cheap and hang onto him. any thoughts?

I think Giles is great for a keeper league. Boone and Kent are in their mid 30's, and I think Giles has a nice upside; looks at his family genes. For a keeper, yes he's valuable. Less so in non-keeper's b/c Boone, Kent, and maybe Vidro will outplay him the next few years.
