Yeah, ESPN is starting to become too much like MTV...too many stupid celebrity shows and not enough of the substance that made it great - Sports news and reporting. It is starting to get annoying, but the problem is that most of the viewing public are sheep that like to watch that crap. Pure fans of real sport activity and stats are being choked out by the people who'd rather find out what Shaq does after he plays his game...after all, that's what the life of a sports star should be like, and that's what we all want to be like, right?

ESPNEWS is indeed starting to become my favorite station even though they repeat the same segment quite a bit. I'd rather watch highlights and scores 5 times in a row than that Hollywood stuff.

It really is pathetic how terrible ESPN has gotten, however it isn't like we have much choice. There aren't any alternatives; the FOX affiliate down here is mediocre on a good day and besides that there's no other sports television outlet.
