Great thread ... I'd been thinking about the same subject when looking back at my draft.

Correct:
JD Drew injury
Reyes health and steals
Halladay return to form (didn't see the freak injury, though)
Bonderman breakout (of sorts)
ARam over Rolen and Beltre

Wrong:
Griffey injury
Beltran top 5 overall
Carpenter return to earth
Mota top-flight closer :~(
MGonzalez, new Pirates closer

Some more:

Kept Thome in thinking he's a lock for 40 hr's. Kept Beltran, thinking it's BELTRAN. In short, I kept the two biggest fantasy busts.

More wrong predictions.....Morneua would be a stud this year.
More correct predictions......Mench would be as valuable as Guillen.

Right:

1. Chavez turning it around, I wouldn't trade him for anything while he was on his cold streak start.
2. Pierzynski having a solid year off FA for me and not trying to deal for a top of the line catcher.
3. Vernon Wells playing 30/100 ball for Toronto even without Delgado, as I argued with my friends that he'd be good.
4. Polanco would be traded to make room for Utley right after Utley hit the FA in my leauge, which let me quickly pick him up.
5. Miguel Cabrera outperforming Miguel Tejada, I dealt Tejada for Cabrera and Renteria in the preseason.
6. Colon having a much better year than last year, and would rack up a ton of wins with Anaheim with a lower ERA.
7. Bonderman would have a solid year all around, even though I dealt him for Isringhausen in the beginning of the summer 'cause I thought it was worth it.
8. Eric Hinske would be horrible after having a hot start.
9. Danny Haren and Mark Mulder would both have good years, and the A's wouldn't lose out on that trade.

Wrong:

1. Morgan Ensberg would have a crappy year once again, definitely way off on that one.
2. Tim Hudson would have lights out numbers for Atlanta under Mazzone (sub-3 ERA).
3. Pavano would have an ERA under or hovering around 4.00 this year for the Yankees.
4. Mike Lowell would turn it around in the second half for the Marlins, even though he's historically a first half player.
5. Dontrelle would cool off considerably after a couple of shaky starts right before and after the all-star break.
6. Foulke would have another solid year for the Red Sox, and Schilling would be healthy in the rotation.
7. Dunn would steal 20 bases this year and hit around .270.
8. Dye would continue to play well and hit homers since he plays every day with the White Sox.
9. Podsednik would have a similar year to the year he had last year in Milwaukee with a bad batting average.

He's not closing now and I wouldn't call a 6 ERA any good. But I guess that does outperform nothing from Gagne :-?

Not even close: Buehrle busting. Beltran top 3.

Dead-on: Figgins = value pick of the year. Brad Penny comes back healthy and is near stud-like.

Correct

1. Buerhle being a top 10 pitcher
2. Beltre being a bust
3. Thome being a bust

Wrong

1. Helton going 30-100-.330 :~(
2. Willis pitching good lately
3. Beltran doing this bad(although almost everyone would put this in the wrong column)
4. Carpenter being as dominant as hes been this year.

Correct :

Thinking D. Lee would be a top 5 1st baseman, (Traded Delgado for him last off-season.)
Jose Reyes having a brilliant season with no injuries.
Crawford being a bust as a first rounder. (Somewhat I guess)
Having Ortiz over Teix in pre-season rankings.
Drafting A-Ram over Hank Blalock. ;-D

Wronge:

Beltran as the #1 Roto player. :~(
Thinking D-Train would collapse in the 2nd half.
Dallas McPherson having a good fantasy year. :-o

Correct:

Emergence of Bonderman
Jason Bay as a top 10 OF
Dan Haren solid, solid, solid
David Wright as a top 5 3B
Letdown year for Juan Pierre
Jaret Wright and Pavano useless

Incorrect:

Emergence of Zack Greinke (?)
Hideki as an MVP threat
Morneau as a beast
Oliver Perez joining the top 10 (or even top 5) SPs
Helton being slump-proof
Ken Griffey Junior healthy (?!)
Vernon Wells returning to AL OF elite
Big year for Escobar
Comeback season for Kaz Matsui
Mike Young overrated
D-Train (??)
Smoltz fizzling
Andy Pettitte finished
Vazquez return to Montreal form

Not really a good batting average now that I think of it... :-?

Some that I can remember.

Correct to date:

Mota would lose the closers job in Florida before the All Star break.

Pedro would be lights out moving to the NL.

Beltran would not steal 25 bases or have an average anywhere near .300 moving to Shea and would therefore be way overvalued in 2005 drafts.

Halladay will return to his 2002/03 numbers.

Clemens will get lousy run support from an ordinary Astros offense.

Eddie Guardado will have no arm problems and will get 30 plus saves.

Incorrect to date:

Keith Foulke and Danny Kolb will get the most and second most saves in the majors (that was a shocking call).

Randy Johnson will win 20 plus games in New York.

Brad Lidge will hit the DL some time this season.

Right and wrong:

Chase Utley will be far better value than Jeff Kent this season.
