really? i can't imagine all the stations have that much different gas, at least not here in Cali...
They certainly do. Some stations definitely water down the gas, or at least have, in my experience. That's why I go to one station, and stick with it. I know the quality, and it doesn't change. Using a different station, and then getting much less gas mileage is definitely suspect.

Same here. I use one Chevron station and that's it. The Shell across the street is usually a few pennies cheaper, but I don't get near the mileage out of their gas. Really weird , so I just stick with Chevron.

I've used Shell forever; is there really a difference in gasoline efficiency? Not like it matters much anymore (I won't have a car at college...bike's all you need in SB), but it's still interesting nonetheless.
