Enough to steal victory?

Postby ReginaldVelJohnson » Wed Aug 17, 2005 1:23 pm

My first half of the season was pretty terrible, I was sitting around 7th place thanks to a bunch of slow starters and such, but I made a lot of great moves and am in a deadlock for 3rd/4th now. My team looks a lot better (especially my starting pitching) than any of the others in the league if you ask me. I'm 12 points out though; you think this will be enough? Any suggestions? My only weak area is relief pitching but I'm 2nd in saves anyway thanks to having a shitload of different closers (Hoffman, Gagne, Dotel, Graves, Brazoban, Dempster, Walker, Reitsma).

You're team looks good although ten points at this point in the season may be tough to overcome. It's really tough to tell without being able to see the standings (category totals and points).

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
