In one of my deeper NL Only leagues, I happen to own ... Brett Tomko. It is the only roster that I have him on. Regardless. I have him. and he just dealt this beauty, not just yesterday, but this week.

You have got to love Baseball. Of course, then that would mean you hate Tony La Russa. The man really has no clue. Nobody overmanages more than Tony. Thats why Tomko had to suck it up on 3 days rest. of course I knew this when I took a STL pitcher, but hey its a deep league. 10 team NL Only

I agree with you that La Russa is an idiot manager and very overrated. His constant lineup shuffles based on matchups and bizarre double switches mid game for no apparent reason are quite irritating.
I don't think he had much of a choice but to put Tomko in yesterday and make him "take one for the team". Morris started the game but was having problems and with his sore shoulder and a 90 minute rain delay, they didn't want to risk sending him back out. So Tomko got the lovely mopup duty and boy did the Yankees clean up on him. He's a worthless piece of garbage; the Cards should just release him.
Tomko is yet another in a long line of guys with potential that were ruined by a clueless Cincinnati organization. The rushed him through the system despite the fact that he lacked command and clearly wasn't ready for the rapid fire promotions.

Then again, maybe my Rangers should try reverse psychology . Go out and get the absolute worst pitching staff out there and see what happens. We turn decent pitchers terrible, couldn't it work the other way as well?

OMG! I remember that thread! 
. Go out and get the absolute worst pitching staff out there and see what happens. We turn decent pitchers terrible, couldn't it work the other way as well?
