There appears to be a good chance that Scott Podsednik (OF) CWS will end up on the disabled list, according to the Daily Southtown. A decision should come today after he has his sore groin examined further.

Ouch...I feel sorry for Podsednik owners.

Scott Podsednik (OF) CHI-A 8/15/2005
The White Sox have placed Podsednik (strained left adductor) on the 15-day disabled list, ESPNews reports. The move is retroactive to Aug. 13. Podsednik was hitting .282 with a major-league leading 54 stolen bases in 99 games with the Sox.

Heck, this is great news for Pods owners (at least in h2h leagues). He should be back just in time for the playoffs and be rested hopefully. As long as he's back as scheduled and he's up to full speed and rested this is a good thing...at least we can DL him now. ;-D

Good point TLL! I'm always thinking in a rotisserie frame of mind.

I wouldn't be so happy if I were a Pods owner since the groin problem might very well affect him even when he returns from the DL. It's one of those things that can linger and affect his ability to steal bases and hustle for infield hits or an extra base.

It could be a tricky injury but I can't be disappointed with the Dl stint. Pods has been useless lately and I am looking forward to the CHANCE that he can be a huge impact player for my H2H playoffs.

Great, I just traded for him last Thursday and he yet to play for me. :~(

I'm in second in my roto league. I'm have the second fewest SBs, however. But the next four guys ahead of me are all within eight steals so I thought Pods could really help me

I guess I'm in a weird situation as a Pods owner...I *just* picked him up off the waiver wire about 10 days ago. So for me this is great news. He didn't cost me anything other than waiver position (which was already toasted after picking up King Felix). And he was killing me with taking up the roster spot but not playing. Having him on the DL now is wonderful from my perspective. Hopefully he comes back strong...he sure as heck hasn't looked good lately - he definitely looks like he needs the rest.
