Pedro pitches an absolute gem and pitching a no-hitter into the 8th inning, makes one bad pitch to Jason Werth and we end up losing the game. What a heartbreaker. 10 hits and only 1 run while the Dodgers get 2 hits and 2 runs. Also, who knows if Beltran would have caught that ball that Gerald Williams didn't catch. And was it right for Marlon to have been running on contact only to get thrown out at the plate? I can't even think straight. Also, Victor Diaz getting a 3-0 count with Marlon on 3rd only and not being able to get the ball into the outfield. And how did Gerald Williams get into that DP? Isn't he watching the play and seeing Pedro pop up that bunt? What a bad loss, and it's even worse that we don't have a game tomorrow. Houston lost today, could have gained a game on them in the WC and with Seo getting the win for us yesterday, we could have gone .500 on the road trip with a win today...
Im very dissapointed in the mets offense. They didnt back Pedro at all today, didnt really look good once they had RISP or anyone on base. Very bad loss.
The Mets will win the World Series this year.
I really thought we were finally going to get it. That game really sucked.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
I was at the game this Saturday (Pedro's start; bullpen blowing the 8 run lead) and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was about ready to jump off the mezzanine. Thank God we won that game, I told my friend if Woodward got an AB he would do some damage. Luckily I was correct.

Please. That's such a Yankee fan thing to do.

Gotta keep positive. If they keep taking 2 out of 3 they'll be in pretty good shape. It will be interesting to see how they respond on the road. That worries me the most.

17 of 20 games are on the road...considering their 23-25 road record, it is something to be worried about. Two games out of the wild card, it actually matters this year....
