sorry guys how I'm all over the people that get designated for assignment but the yankees could grab him in a trade (under waiver rules) or pick him up on August 24th the 10th day. Yankees could say bye to leiter and send him to columbus and give rueter a chance. If Rueter doesn't do well. Bring Leiter back up or Wright or Pavano will be ready by then. who knows? :-? All I can say is it's worth a shot. He could be a key guy to the rotation if he can improve better as a yankee. You could even just put him in the bullpen. You can also put him in Columbus like Nomo.

They aren't sending Leiter down.

Pavano's not coming back.

Wright is coming back, leaving the rotation: Moose, RJ, Leiter, Chacon and Wright.

Small is going to the bullpen and would be first in line to start for anyone injured.


I wouldn't have a problem with them getting Rueter for nothing, but he wouldn't have a place on the team.

Reuter stinks. We're not as desperate as we once were now with Chacon and the rest here. Now with the rotation basically full, even though it's not what we expected, taking Reuter on wouldn't be a good addition since we can't use him anyway (and mainly because he sucks now).

Wright is back today so they now have at least 5 SPs, which puts the screws on Rueter.
