How about Gomes?

A dinger and 2 SBs yesterday. I think he's a silent sleeper. There was some buzz around him earlier this season, and i think theres a chance he could help out a few down the stretch here.

Noah Lowry pitches tonight at Cinci and if he pitches a good game...then I think he should be picked up in all leagues, the way he is pitching right now...he has to be better than your worse starter. His next start would also be at home against Phili.

Well, one should think he'll do well against Cincy. If not, it's hard to imagine him doing well against too many other teams as the Reds lineup is lefty heavy and can be beat by a decent LHP even in Cincy. If you have F Lopez and some other SS for platoon, better sit Lopez tonight as he's been horrid against LHPs.

I love this thread.

Mods, any chance for a sticky??

Another guy that i've been watching for a bit now is Willie Bloomquist in Seattle. Sounds crazy, i know, but he's got every-position eligibility (except catcher) and steals a few bases. He could be a great util guy to fill in for an injured starter or a guy getting the night off.

Kelvim Escobar is coming back soon. Reports are encouraging. I would definitely stash him on my DL, if that spot is open on your roster. He could be back in early September.

If you're desperate. I guess he could get a roster spot in a 12 team league or something. Look at your last OFer. Think Diaz can outperform him? It's quite possible, I'd say.

i've heard over on the angels boards that he will be used out of the bullpen, especially since they've been struggling as of late.
