Usually what i do when i come on here is browse around and see who people are getting excited about as far as who is getting hot, and the newly called up rookies and such. But recently, i've gotten lazy.
So my question to you is a simple one: Who is a hot pickup right now?? You know, guys that are overlooked in a lot of leagues, and could potentially help for the playoff push.
I like Dan Johnson alot, so I'd say grab him if he's still there. Patterson may not be a bad guy to take a flyer on with his potential also if you have a spare spot or could just let him sit to see what he does. I just picked up Ervin Santana also, his WHIP is a little shaky, but he's been pretty solid overall with his past handful of starts.
I'd agree about Dan Johnson although maybe Jhonny Peralta can fit the bill too if you need SS help.
For pitching, maybe Jose Valverde if you need an RP. I'll assume SPs like King Felix and Duke are likely gone by now although it's hard to know if they can keep up the good performances anyway. Maybe Millwood, if he's still available -- and your league doesn't count L's. Patterson has been very good also, but he's probably less likely to be available than Millwood and probably won't win as often either.

If Felix Hernandez is still available, I highly recommend him. He has potential to do some very good things. And next week he pitches against the Royals and the Twins

Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.
The rockies have a long homestand right now, and Holliday is hitting .377 at home. He's also batting cleanup, behind Helton. Plus he's hot right now. And he is capable of producing in all categories.
