I picked Nomar up just in case this trend continues.
I was going to say he's faced some pretty good pitching so far in August, but after looking at the box scores for the eight August games in which he went 0-fer, it simply isn't true. Prior, D. Willis and Harang (maybe) are the only really good starters he's faced in those 8 games. There's also been a lot of runs scored in those games.
To answer your question, yes. I'm worried. Especially with the playoffs coming up in just over two weeks. Nomar is looking pretty good so far, so I'm not sweating just yet. I wouldn't drop him either, if I were you, but I would definitley be looking at acquiring a plan B.
Yeah I am beginning to think he is wore out. He did sit so maybe that will help. He took the place of Nomar in my one league and I have him back now so I am not sweating it either.
Remember "I" before "E", except in Budweiser

Yeah, I just picked up Nomar and benched Felipe myself. Guess we have the same plan B.
At this point in the season I don't have much patience with players, especially players who were relative unknowns when the season started. I dropped him, but that's mostly because we don't have many bench spots in our league. It was either him or Vidro, and I chose to go with the experience.
yes it is safe to say i am worried....There are not a lot of plan b options out there in my league. I was mostly planning to trade him anyways for some stretch run help but cant get anything at all for him right now.
I dropped him in favor of peralta who had 4 rbi's the day before he was in my lineup, then i picked up sizemore who had that huge game with the grandslam but he wasnt in my lineup until today <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif> . anyhow if you're in a shallow leauge i would definitly drop him.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!
