I can't take that song anymore. Actually, I hated it from day one. That... "Life is an open road to me." Plus, Motorcyling is not a sport unless there is racing involved. And THAT is still debatable.

Is anyone excited for your state to be featured?
Yes, that song friggen blows. I get pissed and change it to ESPNEWS everytime I hear that.
I always seem to go deaf when that part comes on.....
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and if I heard correctly, PA will be their last state for the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, right around my hometown so I'm pretty geeked about seeing that.
Anybody know if they did NJ yet? I live in VA now, and I know they did that (missed it), but NJ is my home state. I'm sure it'll mention boxing and horse racing (besides the Giants ).
The "50 in 50" thing is evidence of what happens when MARKETING people get involved in the production of a successful television show.
Here you have SportsCenter, which everybody loves as it is. Then some marketing dweeb comes up with a lame feature idea like this, somehow convnces the bean counters at EPSN this this will "extend the SportsCenter brand" to a larger demographic, and voila.... 50-in-50 gets shoved down our throats.
Sadly, no one at ESPN had the stones to stand up to the bean counters and marketing geeks and say "It ain't broke.... why do you want to FIX it?"
Sigh.... I miss the early days of ESPN.... Then again I miss the early days of MTV also... but that's been covered in other threads.
