I would like to have seen Nomar in LF and try Murton out in RF.

These are the kinds of experiments we should have been trying out this year after the season fell apart, but alas.

God speed Nomar. Hopefully Dusty Baker follows you to LA.

Dammit, Hendry, you'd better have Furcal locked up if you're pulling this.

he is not at all worth the money LA gave him. incentives are fine, but $5mm guaranteed is as high as the base should go.

the Cubs know exactly what they missed, paying a guy to sit on the DL 3 months out of the season

given a similiar and reasonable number of AB's, i wont be the least bit surprised if Cedeno puts up very similiar, if not better, numbers than Nomar this year. hes got a slappy, line-drive swing and a pretty good eye. i dont him getting a lot of HR power as he grows up, in the 10-15 a year range, but he should have an OBP in the .375-.390 range with a lot of doubles when he really starts putting it all together. sounds like a great 2 hitter to me.

of course, that Nomar/Cedeno thing depends on Nomar staying healthy and Cedeno getting out to a hot enough start so that Dusty cant bench him and forget him.

Did u see how nomar played after he came back from injury? He didnt do to bad. The only problem is his health and I think it is pretty good. Nomar batted .283 last season. I think he is one of the best shortstops. This is my opinion. Nomar is one of the best shortstops in Major League Baseball. He can play defense, hit for a good average and hit some homeruns, overall he is GREAT!!!
