Ted Williams by a mile. He'd be considered the best player ever if he didn't miss all those years in the military. He'd probably be the homerun king too.

I didn't put the Babe because the better years of his career were in NY

You should take half the guys off that list then.

Why? All of those guys up there had the better of their years in Boston. You're probably gunna be like Roger Clemens, or Wade Boggs. Well, Boggs is a HOFer with the Red Sox. Clemens had the best years in Boston too. Look it up. But it doesnt matter, because Ted Williams is the greatest baseball player of all time.

No actually I was talking about Speaker, Young and Ramirez. Boggs definitely had his better seasons in Boston although it took the move to NY to actually win a Championship. As for Clemens if you think his best seasons were in Boston, well more power to you. He has won 4 (going on 5) Cy Young awards in the 8 years since he left compared to the 3 he won in the 12 years in Boston. I would consider him a Red Sox since he still played at least half his career in Boston, even if he too had to move to NY to get a ring.

But it doesnt matter, because Ted Williams is the greatest baseball player of all time.

Then what is the purpose of this poll if you don't care what anyone else says? A quick and easy way to glorify Williams?
