Yeah after that game that might be enough for me to take him.

I don't think that he has the stuff to be a front of the rotation guy in the future but I think that he has the ability to be a very solid middle of the rotation guy.

Good post. They play a ton of games against NL West teams in September. He's improved so dramatically that I think he is worth at least a bench spot in mixed leagues. I picked him up to fill in for RJ.

i will go on to say that he is worth a spot in mixed leagues as well and i wouldn't be afraid to start the guy. his post all-star game numbers are just too good to not start him right now...and he has good value in keeper leagues.

last year he also had a solid post all star game run. this year his BAA has dropped from .270 to .150 after the ASG. he's got the WHIP under 1 and a K per inning. he's got to lower his BB, but that will come with time.

Tonight he got the win with 8.1ip, 2er, 1bb, and 7k.

He got his revenge on Cincy tonight.

Assuming he pitches every 5th game, his schedule rest of the way:

vs PHI
vs NYM
at AZ
vs CHC
vs SD
vs LAD
at COL
at SD

5 home games vs 2 (assuming you don't start him at Coors). His home ERA is better by 1.50. And one away game at a pitcher's park against a weak hitting team.

another great start, but he did appear to leave because of injury in the 9th (a blister on his throwing hand perhaps...) but I would still grab him up at this point if he's still available in your league.

Another strong outing. I'm a little worried about the pitch count but he's cruising. ;-D

IMO, Lowry could have taken Pat Burrell for the cg.

Did you watch the game? Seems like he was never really in trouble. Lots of groundball outs and he hasn't given up a HR in like forever although Burrell took him pretty deep to center.
