I'm in first place in my Yahoo H2H league and am trying to lower my waiver position to snatch Delmon Young who I anticipate being brought up on September 1st to help me in the playoffs. I'm currently 10th out of 10. Now regardless of the feasability of me getting low enough to get him, how would I lower my waiver #? I think I'd have a realistic shot to get him if I get to 5 or less. I got Felix Hernandez at 7 last week...

It's a matter of the guys who are above you on the list taking someone off waivers and moving to the back of the line.

Thanks guys. I'm just looking for a low-cost solution in the OF. Edmonds is killen me lately and I don't anticipate him tuning it up given they aren't going after the playoffs or anything. Plus days off are a killer in H2H playoffs...

you could set up a trade before with the team with the number one priority or at least a good priority. tell them you will trade them someone if they claim a player and trade that player to you. kind of risky because it tips your hand and all but assures you he will not reach you if you have a high priority.

Lower your position? I assume you mean raise your position (lower the the representative number).
Maybe you could make a trade to move up

I like the idea of making some sort of a deal for a "player to be named later." Pretty sweet. Nice call mcnugent.
