How can I improve my team?

I'm in 2nd place in my 12 team full season Yahoo league. Although I've been in 2nd for pretty much the entire season, I am starting to slip and the 1st place team has almost 20 points on me right now. Here is my team, I think it looks pretty good and I was wondering what areas I can improve on, who I should drop, etc.

C-Varitek
1b-Helton
2b-Durham
3b-Stupid guys during my draft decided to pick all of the 3rd basemen during the draft, so I picked Craig Counsell who went on the DL leaving me with NO 3b! (the best available is Mike Bordick)
SS-Furcal
OF-Bonds,Chipper,Brian Giles, Abreu, Kearns (which 3 should I be starting regularly??)
SP-Prior, Benson, Clement, Redman, Padilla, Jason Johnson
RP-Benitez, Rivera, Biddle, Alfonseca, Mike Williams

u need another ace SP on ur team, and of course a 3B. U can give up one of ur closers, and u have plenty of outfielders to serve as trade bait. Get to trading for a SP and 3B.

I agree with R-Tehst. You need another SP and 3B. See if you can pickup Endsberg from the FA pool. He may not play 2 out of 7 days but he is very productive and will begin to play full time hopefully after the all-star break. If he is not there, try to use a combination of Abreu, Jones, Alfonseca, and Mike Williams as trade bait for a stud pitcher and avg 3b. You shoud start Bonds, Giles, Kearns everyday in your OF. Be creative with your trade combos and you will get what you need.
