both of these guys are sitting on my leagues FA wire, and i have heard rumblings they may be back soon. anyone have any info on that?
or if they will even get the closing job back?
Lyon should be back as early as next week, and with the teams recent closing problems should be getting the ball at the end of the games. The job will be his to loose.
Foulke wants to start closing without a AAA rehab stint. It sounds like he'll be back in a couple weeks. I'd be more cautious about picking him up, altough IF he pitches well, will get more save opps then Lyon.
Personally, I'm going with Lyon.
Any new news? I am in the same boat here. I know Lyon pitched horribly against the Braves yesterday.....

It was Lyon's 1st game back, Im sure it was just rust.
I would not hold onto Kyle if I were you, he will not be the closer in Atlanta

Valverde's struggles came early in the year when he was coming back from his own injury. The last five weeks he's been back in '03 form, which is just about as filthy as any reliever in the majors right now. (The main problem is the 'backs have stopped winning altogether, thereby negating save opps).
The way Lyon's getting kicked around, he's not helping his cause. I'm about thisclose to dropping him.
