Good pitchers to buy now that pick up wins?

I need wins pretty bad. Does anybody have any suggestions for pitchers that will pick up wins, but aren't doing so well right now so will be cheap to get? I've thought of a couple.

Here's some other ones to look into. In general, you want to look at marginal pitchers on teams that have high run support:

Wade Miller (jump all over him if you can get him cheap)
Tim Wakefield
Jose Contreras (currently on DL)
Casey Fossum (currently on DL)
Kelvim Escobar
Mark Hendrikson (gets a ridiculous 8 runs per game of support)
Shane Reynolds
Horatio Ramirez
Ryan Franklin
Tim Redding

I will second Franklin, he tore it up last night and I think that that will only be a start of things to come for him.

franklin, redding and escobar. miller is awesome, but i don't see him coming cheaply in any league.

I got Miller for Ted Lilly about a month ago, when Lilly had run off a few good starts and Miller's ERA was over 6.00.

Look at Seo. His last 4 starts against the Braves(twice), Seattle
and Texas. 29 ip, 25 hits, 6 earned runs, 6 walks, 12 ks and
3 wins. His ks are low but pitching for the Mets and their sorry
defense, I think he is a keeper. I like Franklin also, I have them
both. K Wood takes care of my Ks

I'd like to second Seo. He was once a top prospect in the Mets organization and he the infamous Tommy John surgery. He seems pretty solid, although he's on the Mets. He used to throw in the mid-90's and now he PITCHES in the high-80's to low-90's. So far, though, I've gotten some pretty good numbers out of him. He seems to be one of those guys that can eat innings and not hurt you too badly on bad days. He won't have the monster game, but he won't have the 8 walk game either.

Plus, he bows to the umps every time they throw him the ball. I think that's cool.

Oh yeah, another good option is to sign any pitcher that's going up against the Rangers. Their lineup looks imposing, but they have a horrible average with guys in scoring position. I, for one, am going to sign and release any halfway decent option going against the Rangers as my 7th pitching position.

I don't know if he can keep it up for much longer, but Joe Nathan has 7 wins in 35 IP. If you are in an innings limit roto league, Nathan has been gold, getting a W for every 5 IP, with about 1 K/IP.

Chad Bradford has been almost as effective getting 5 W's in 30 IP with almost 1 K/IP.

Luis Ayala has gotten 5 W's and 2 saves in 31 IP. The K's are about .5 per IP, but who cares with his WHIP of 0.8 helping you.

All these guys have ERA's around 2.50, and WHIP's that will help your squad. If you are desperate for W's in an inning limit roto league, these middle relievers might be the best option.

I got 2 W's from Nathan in about 5 IP earlier this year. I didn't keep him, but I may grab him again. Pitchers that give stats like that are the over-looked elite of fantasy baseball.
