Carl Pavano (shoulder) is scheduled to rejoin the rotation Tuesday against the White Sox.
''He will, unless Moose (Mike Mussina) needs to be moved back a day, then Carl will go Monday,'' manager Joe Torre said. Since Pavano will also face the Rangers next week, keeping him reserved would be the safe play. Aug. 4 - 10:34 pm et
On a side note...
Jaret Wright allowed two hits in six scoreless innings for Single-A Tampa tonight.
Wright struck out eight and walked none, although he did hit two batters. He topped out at 94 mph. Wright will make at least one more start in the minors. If he pitches nearly as well as he did tonight, he might rejoin the Yankees during the middle of the month. Aug. 4 - 9:58 pm et
Pavano could have some fantasy significance but will Wright? I know he sucks but is he even worth owning? Will he start at all or be designated to the bullpen?
