I always thought my 13 year old son knew what I was up to with all the hours I spend on here but yesterday he came up to me while I was setting my baseball lineups and said: "You know what would be really cool - if you could make up a team of your favorite players and get a bunch of other guys to do the same thing and you could play make-believe games against each other". Iguess he was just born a few years too late, lol!

Ask him what happens if your players and someone else's are the same.
At 13, he is ready to start playing himself. Didn't you raise your kid a sports fan? My brother is 13 and has been playing since he was 9. he is defending champ of our baseball league and I just nosed him outin a football league last year.

Haha, same thing happens to me. Whenever I'm watching Baseball Tonight with my friends and I show any emotion in regards to a specific player (whether it be a fist-pump or a cry of anger) they know he's on my team.
My son has played hockey for 6 years and Little League for 3 years but he has absolutely zero interest in watching sports either in person or on TV - I've tried to explain the workings of the game and how watching would improve his game but to no effect. Gamecube and Nintendo DS are more his speed.

My 8 year old can tell you anything there is to know about MLB players and teams and I am debating whether or not to have him join a league next year. Is that to young? He has been doing his own Fantasy Drafts on MVP and does quite well.

What harm can come from it? Let him try a free league at Yahoo next year and see how he does.
