0 for his last 18?????? WTF?????? And he was just ripping the cover off the ball last week. Man, this is not at all what I expected when I traded for him a month ago.

I hear ya brotha. I dealt Harden and Mauer for him and Kendall last month and it looked alright at first, but I am growing weary. He was 3-3 lifetime vs. Douglass, but he couldn't manage a single hit today? Big blow to my team avg. All I can say is, it's Ichiro and he's bound to have a couple 4 hit games soon.
I learned this in my early years of fantasy sports...NEVER sit your studs. Did that with Abreu today. Sat him.....he hits a granny. Guess I have to keep learning...

Its just a bit disconcerting that a player of his hitting talent, runs a hitless streak to 18 at bats. 6, 7, 8, I can understand, but 18???? For Ichiro? Coming off a hot streak?

There is nothing new wrt to this. Suzuki has always been enormously streaky and as such very overrated in fantasy. Last season he did not really start to turn it on until the second half and was on fire the rest of the way. The season before he did the opposite and could not buy a hit in the second half.
Suzuki will hit anywhere from 310 to 370 generally. That is the problem. If he hits 350, scores a lot of runs and swipes 35+ bases he has a lot of value. If he hits 310 scoring OK runs and swiping 35 bases he is no where near as valuable a fantasy commodity. Still good, but good enough relative to his draft cost.
