Don't have a link, just heard it on the Twins-A's game.

The conspiracy theorist in me wonders how much is has to do with deflecting some attention off Raffy :-?

Haven't they lost like 13 of their last 15 games or something? They have even fallen 4.5 back of the Jays...

Wow is right...they get themselves a great manager, and they go ahead and fire him? Its not his fault the Orioles refuse to put together a decent pitching corp. Bad news for Baltimore.

We all know they are losing. Doesn't always equate to a manager getting fired. I didn't think they would fire Mazilli at this point.

Let's see, they get off to a great start, despite having no pitching staff, they get involved in publicized trade rumours for a stud pitcher that falls through at the last minute over money, one of their superstars gets busted for steroids and perjuring himself before Congress.. and this is the manager's fault?!?.. :-?

oh well, looks like the Jays will finish no lower than 3rd this year.. ;-D

They've lost 14 of their past 15 games. How can anyone be surprised by this?

As a lot of people have said in the Dusty Baker thread, it really doesn't matter if it is his fault or not. The GM can't fire the entire team and the fans are demanding that something be done or else they will stop coming out to the games.

The O's are 10 1/5 games out of first. They have to still pretend like they are trying to get to the playoffs.
